I have just finished reading my 4th Action Plan from the Advertising Academy & again there are some great ideas in this little gem of a publication.  The last 2 monthly articles went in depth into joint venturing and this month the topic is article marketing to offline publications.

So how powerful can it be to post your article not only to online directories, but also to offline publications.  Well it seems that it is a powerful step to take.  Getting published in an offline magazine will position you as an expert and is equivalent to free advertising as most publications provide a resource box at the end of your article to insert your details.

So how do you research which offline publication to use?  There are several ways outlined, 1 being use your local bookstore as a refererence point.  Browse through magazines on offer until you find one or more that are relevant to your niche… if you can’t find one make sure to do an online search.

Once you find the publication(s), make sure article writers get free advertising by way of the resource box.  Next step is to approach the editor and request their “Article Submission Guidelines”

For a checklist of what to look for and / or to get access to the entire 32 page Action Plan click on the ad to the right under Recommended Traffic Getters… the flashy ad the one with the rotating message.

I love to have a beer with John Carlton

Wow what an awesome weekend in my life – June 13 & 14 a bunch of larger than life marketers came to town to present to peeps of all ethnicity, vocations, sizes, shapes, backgrounds, ages including yours truly.  The content and strategies shared were priceless – pretty good for an event that was free, well maybe not… I signed up for a bunch of free stuff from Brad Fallon, including coaching and access to Stompernet – there was so much in fact I can’t recall all the bonuses.  Now let me clarify to get all the free stuff I am attending a 2 day event with James Schramko next weekend in Sydney – I think I can cope!

If you have ever attended an event like the Ultimate Marketing Seminar you will understand what I am about to say… I didn’t know where to stop.  No sooner had I signed on the dotted line for Brad’s offer which included James’ program, Armand Morin presented and blew the event away (me included) with his impossible to resist offer.  I absolutely get why these guys are so great at what they do – its effortless for them.  I aspire to taking the effortless & easy marketing road – new commitment to self!

Somehow I managed to resist the first guy post lunch – how I don’t know – he was quite possibly my fave of the event somewhat due to the fact that I came home with a signed Carlton Draught Stubby that he presented me with, not to mention some kick butt strategies.  He is none other than John Carlton the copywriting guru, The Marketing Rebel himself – the most respected and ripped off copywriter on the internet – what a guy with a most interesting story.

So what do I do folks – do I stick with training from Brad, Armand & James or is that learning overload?
